No vague timelines, no scope creep. Every Walnut & Iron build follows the same five-step process — so you always know what's happening, when, and what comes next.
You tell us about the room, the wall, the dream. We ask about budget range, timeline, and design preferences. If we're the right shop for your build, we'll schedule the in-home consultation. If we're not, we'll tell you that too — and recommend someone who is.
No pressure, no sales pitch. Just an honest conversation about whether your project lines up with what we do best.
We come to your home, measure the space, look at the lighting, and bring real material samples — walnut, white oak, painted MDF, plaster, brass. You see and touch the actual finishes you'd be living with. We sketch options on the spot.
By the time we leave, you have a clear sense of what's possible, what it'll cost, and how long it'll take. Take whatever time you need to decide.
Once you're in, we develop a full design package: scaled drawings, 3D renderings, exact material specs, and a delivery timeline. You see the build before we cut a single piece of wood.
This is the round-of-revisions phase. We work through every detail — slat spacing, ledge depths, TV bay dimensions, finish samples — until you sign off. Then it goes into the shop queue.
Every panel, every joint, every trim piece is built on our shop floor. That means cleaner cuts, tighter joinery, no dust storm in your house, and a finished product that arrives 90% ready to install.
You get progress photos at each milestone — material selection, rough fabrication, finishing, final QC. You'll know exactly when install day is coming.
Our install crew protects the floors, brings their own dust containment, and works clean. Most builds wrap in one or two days — larger media walls with electrical and TV mounting may run to three.
Before we leave, we walk you through the finish, demo any integrated features, and hand over a care guide. Final payment is due at completion — not before.
No commitment, no pressure. Just a real conversation about your project and whether we're the right shop to build it.
